Welcome to the site dedicated to The WDM.
Welcome to the site dedicated to The WDM.
During conversations, I'm often stopped and asked, "What is a 'WDM'??" -----> WDM = Well-Dressed Male
A term I thought up years ago, after realizing how many men don't know or care how to dress well. The scene so sparse in fact that when a nicely dressed boy was actually spotted, the sighting sparked a tiny celebration amongst us girls.
That's what this blog is about, appreciating boys in nice outfits. It's pretty simple.
My WDMs range from Modern (suits, street/casual wear) to Period costuming to Fantasy and Cosplay costuming. My only requirement is that you be male, and that I like your style, whatever it is. We applaud you all for caring about what you look like. Or appearing to care about what you look like. :D
Also expect to see hair-related posts.. I'm a fan of boys with fun/nice/interesting hair.
I use my term 'WDM' to promote a good thing, going forth through the internet with images taken from red carpet events, videos, magazines, films, shows, candids, whatever! to use those pics for good, and not evil.
Awesome for your eyeballs. You're welcome.

Jamie Foxx in Law Abiding Citizen
Have you seen the film? Why not??
You should have seen it multiple times by now, as I have. :D And I'm not just saying that because of Jamie Foxx. Or the kick-ass WDM he brought to the screen. It really was actually a fun movie.
I have no idea where the really good stills of all his costumes are, but I'm gonna keep working on that.
In the meantime I thought it was so nice it at least deserved a mention on the WDM, until more pics could be found!
RDJ! Tony Stark in Iron Man 2
I think we all know what today is. That's right. Go on out and pick up your special edition copies right now. Go, go!
They costumed him down for most of the movie, so we didn't get to see him in as many fine suits as I'd hoped, but! What I did see was fantastic. My favorite was the senate hearing suit.
That tie is great; paired with that jacket, this look is just yummy.
And I also love this one!
I hope everyone is enjoying their copies of IM2 as we speak... :D

The Joker as Heath Ledger...or whatever....
Everyone was all, "Bale this and that", and "Heath's performance was unbelievable", etc and all...
Yes all awesome things, but! What about what the Joker was wearing? What about THAT?
And when the coat and jacket came off, wow, the three-piece situation just got even better. The pattern on that shirt is effing awesome! Everything we are seeing is definitely spectacular.
Worn impeccably well, RIP Heath...
Shia LaBeouf for Wall Street
Yay, Shia. :) I have no idea what this movie will be about, and I'm not planning to see it (not in the theater, anyways), but none of this matters. Thanks for wearing the sweet threads, dude.
(Michael Douglas is also wearing a spectacular piece in that poster, wish it weren't so much in the dark there.)

David Tennant as The Doctor
I still haven't seen a single episode of that new guy's season. MEH. I'm still in mourning, leave me alone!!
I loved Chris E., but God bless DT for making it look really good. I need more pics of his costumes from throughout the seasons. The suits and the coat are now classic. I'm glad it was paired with those sneakers!!

Jared Leto
Oh, make no mistake about it. I love him. I recently put the squash on a 30STM 'debate' by pointing my finger and boldly declaring, "Jordan Catalano can do whatever the hell Jordan Catalano WANTS to do. Including rock my face off..."
Even if there had been no Jordan Catalano, I'd be a huge 30STM fan. I'm in. I'm in on the whole glyph, blonde and pink mohawk, let'smakeEPICvideos, and oh-by-the-way-my-band-is-awesome, thing. Thanks, Jared, for being so dedicated to just doing you.
Let's take a look at this jacket. Mama likes.
Also, I love the hair. I'm thrilled at this shade of blonde on Jared.
I miss this though:
I love every bit of that hot pink and blonde mohawk sweetness.
(it's known around here that I'm a HUGE fan of mohawks. :D ) Gah, that hair with that face. Thank you.
I'm also a fan of his eyewear.

Usher
Tell'em about it, Usher. He rocks the casual look well here, nice jacket, nice scarf, paired with some everyday denim. See? Not too hard is it?? Even if you didn't have your own personal stylist, this outfit wouldn't have been too excruciating to put together!
MCR
I like Gerard with black hair, but that's just one girl's opinion! One of my favorite bands, and I love seeing them on stage in suits.
Djimon Hounsou in Push
Have you seen the movie? You shoulda. Maybe if you had, you coulda had your eyeballs rocked when Djimon appeared onscreen wearing this smokin' hot ensemble:
Seriously, that tie with that shirt? It's like someone gifted asked him, 'Hey, do you want to wear the most awesome thing you've ever worn in a movie?' And Djimon said yes.
I intend to get some better shots of his costume at some point.
Only a man that hot can look that bored wearing that outfit.

Let's Start With One of My Most Favorite Males... Robert Downey Jr.
I've been wanting to see this man my whole life. I finally saw RDJ once, last year, from across a impossibly crowded space at ComicCon. I laid eyes on him and immediately became impregnated. With triplets. Little Iron Man, Lil Sherlock, and Little Osiris...
I'm always delighted at how well Robert rocks his suit!! The boy is hands down my most favorite.
There was a time when I never knew how to answer that "Who is your favorite actor" question. It's the like the 'fav song' or 'fav movie' thing. It's a stupid question, there are SO many to choose from that are all so great, why would you pick only one. No longer the case with the actor question. It's not so much a matter of picking a favorite one, it's more a matter of which out of all of them keeps rising to your own personal top list, without being forced at all. After Tropic Thunder, Fur, Sherlock, The Soloist and Iron Man(s), RDJ is at the top of my list. I loved him since like 8th grade, so it's been a long time coming. :D
More to come on RDJ! :D In the meantime, you can read my raving about Sherlock Holmes on my public journal here: Uh-oh, still haven't seen Avatar! But maybe I have seen Sherlock four times... Don't judge me.
XD
